| The standard value of tensile strength of HRB500 steel bar is 500MPa. It is a new sort of steel with high strength and good ductility. Because of the increasement of compressive and tensile strength, it can save 24% steel by replacing HRB335 and can save 9% of steel by replacing HRB400. It has significant economic benefits. Its characteristics of good cold bending enhances the efficiency of construction work, and facilitate the curving construction. With providing the same resistance the amount of steel bar can be reduced. The welding and binding of bars and the spacing of concrete get more easier. This kind of steel bar has been used prevalently in foreign countries, but it hasn't been taken in by Code for design of concrete structures (GB50010-2002). In order to take the internationalization into reality as soon as possible and popularize this new kind of steel bar in engineering area of our country, the professor, Liu lixin, has made a series experiments on bending behavior of beams with HRB500 steel bars concrete. But the slab's characteristics,such as bearing capacity and deflection and crack width were unknown. So this research was done in this thesis.Based on the experiment of 10 simple-supported reinforced concrete slabs of 5 different reinforcement ratio using HRB500 steel bars, the behavior of this kind of slabs was acquired. It showed that the values of deflection and crack width can be calculated according to the current Code (GB50010-2002), just needing modified properly. And then, a proposal of checking the values of deflection when designing the slabs using HRB500 steel bars has been supposed.Finite element method was used to help studying the slabs bend bearing performance. The result of finite element analysis was compared with test data in this thesis. |
