Remanufacturing production for waste and obsolete mechanic & electronicproducts, which is an important part of Recycle Economics and GreenRemanufacturing engineering, is belongs to batch production and it is not similar tomaintenance. Remanufacturing is defined as the process of recycling, disassembly,collect, check, batch repair, quality upgrade and reassembly of large quantitiesof the same kind of waste and obsolete mechanic & electronic products, The qualityof remanufacturing products exceed or have the same function in technic and qualityas the new products. Owing to the difference of the failure pattern ofremanufacturing products,check and diagnosis difficulty of waste and obsoletemechanic & electronic products and the remanufacturing technic level, as a result,remanufacturing roughcast is of great uncertainty and remanufacturing processgreatly depend on experience, so the development of the design system ofremanufacturing products is quite urgent. On the basis of the features ofremanufacturing products and remanufacturing products design, this paper tries toestablish the remanufacturing products design system of case based reasoning tosolve these problems of remanufacturing products configuration design andremanufacturing products repair process design; this paper studies waste andobsolete engine products, based on the Visual Prolog platform and relative technic todevelop the design prototype of remanufacturing products, the main content of thispaper is concluded as follows:1) The configuration design of remanufacturing productsAfter disassembly remanufacturing products parts may be classified the directlyreusable parts, the reparable parts, the recycling parts and the obsolete parts. Thestate of the directly reusable parts and the failure pattern of the reparable parts arequite different, at the same time which will be changed with the process ofremanufacturing, as a result the structure and information of the remanufacturingproducts will also be changed. On the basis of the above features, this paper brings forward the configuration design idea of remanufacturing products, and make a deepresearch on the structure model of remanufacturing products, the methods ofpartition of remanufacturing products family and the acquiring of the configurationdesign scheme of remanufacturing products.2) the repair process design of remanufacturing partsDue to the failure pattern and grade of remanufacturing products are uncertain,which make the repair process of remanufacturing products greatly depend onexperience, and the repair scheme is quite individual. This paper combines theremanufacturing engine's parts repair, and summarize the failure and repairknowledge of remanufacturing engine's parts; at the same time this paper makes adeep research on case search,case similarity model and case modification ofcase-based reasoning repair process.In the end this paper apply Visual Prolog of artificial intelligence language tothe development of the prototype expert system of remanufacturing engine's partsrepair designing process, and at the end of this paper gives the running examples ofthe prototype system.
