The attack helicopter plays a strategic significance in the area of our national defense. The good condition rate of the helicopters could be vital in determining the direction of the war. In recent years, the computer software is becoming more and more widely used in the engineering application field, which, to some extent, could replace the professional staff in the field of product maintenance, analysing and positioning, and that would greatly help to improve the good condition rate and reliability of the military helicopters. The paper studies the typical faults of a certain type of military helicopters in our country and develops a corresponding fast retrieval intelligence system, which is tested in the actual maintenance process and proved to be of great practicability and accuracy.The paper develops a trouble locating expert system by combining the Visual prolog software with the prolog language commonly used in the artificial intelligence field. The effect of the system is introduced in actual uses and the result test is taken off the site.The interface of the trouble locating system is designed by utilizing the interface engine of the Visual prolog software and the prolog language and functions of different interfaces are added correspondingly. The system is devided into two parts.The first part covers the interface design, which creates the subject and designs the verb, that helps to found the interface. The second part covers the designing of system function modules.engineering,design predicates,using different components to design appropriate system interface,and finally create a system interface.The second part is the design of the system function modules,the inference of knowledge using the predicate logic representation,and then the main program of the system design,to add the corresponding predicate function of each interface module is created.The system is designed HCI module,several major knowledge base management module,fault retrieval module,accurate search module,typical fault function module,spare parts forecasting module.Failure to achieve the add,delete,modify,save,retrieve,share,forecasting and other functions.Failure to retrieve the traditional sense of the fault-finding,compared with a simple operation,high reliability,large amount of information and so on.Improve the speed and accuracy of fault location and gives the possibility of failure for several reasons and relevant treatment measures. The feasibility of the sytem is verified outside the helicopter maintenance field and achieved good results.
