With quick improvement of process control, real-time data processing technology and management of the power plant, more attention has been paid not only to the safety of power plant, but also to the economy of the whole system. Real-time economic analysis for thermal system has a significant influence on economic operation and energy saving of the power plant. Especially with the reform of the electric power, the power plant needs to be monitored and analyzed all economic indices of the power plant real-timely while the power plant unit is running. Then it can be used for workers to modulate the operating parameters and optimize the operation of the unit. So the design of the power plant thermal system online thermal economic software is very important for the operation of the power plant. This thesis focuses on the design of the software and main contents are as follows.Firstly, the importance of the power plant thermal system online thermal economic software and the development of this software are introduced. The main steam system, the auxiliary equipment and the other sub-equipments of the complex thermal system are introduced. Then some theories and ways of calculating and analyzing the thermal system are presented, which is good to find the aim of the research and emphases for the design of the software.Secondly, by researching the general power plant regeneration system, based on conservation of mass and conservation of energy, then through strict deduction and demonstration, the general model of the regeneration system is founded and the general matrix equation of the coal-fired power unit thermal system is established. This matrix equation reflects the influences of the main system and the whole auxiliary system roundly and it is suit to calculate the steam extraction coefficient of any coal-fired power unit regeneration system.Thirdly, the thermo-economic influence of the heater to the thermal system is quantitative analyzed and the thermo-economic influence of some thermal system parts, such as the temperature difference, steam extraction pressure loss and so on, is investigated in detail. These are important parts of the power plant thermal system online thermal economic analysis software which is introduced in this paper.Lastly, the main deigning aim of the power plant thermal system online thermal economic software is introduced. The main structure and the main functions of this software are analyzed based on operation of the power plant. How to analyze the partial factor what affects the heat efficiency of the unit is very important and the detailed process taking the temperature difference for example is introduced.
