This paper mainly contains the following three sections:In the first section, the author focus on the study and design of the transformervacuum dry equipment monitoring and control system. After the analysis of PLC andthe PC computer monitoring and control techniques, this job designs monitoring andcontrol system according to the new improvement vacuum dry procedure of atransformer plant. Due to adoption of the new techniques the whole vacuum dryperiod is shortened from 3 days to 1 day. Therefore the productivity is effectivelyenhanced. The product quality is also remarkably improved.The second section designs the wireless long-distance monitoring system. Thiswork expands a wireless monitoring system on the wired monitoring and controlsystem by using the GSM wireless communication network, which may transmit thefield real-time data to the mobile phone of a monitoring supervisor and enable themonitoring supervisor to monitor the field operation status when he is absent in thefield.The last section of the paper introduces the software design based theconfiguration development tool witch has the development of complex control andmonitoring software to be easily implemented and the system to be easily expanded.
