The reliability and economy of formwork system during building construction is one of the most important research areas on civil engineering which have a difficulty and challenge. In this paper, the disadvantages of formwork-supporting systems which have existed in domestic and foreign countries have been discussed. And a new type formwork -supporting systems were designed in view of these implicit problems. The major contents of this paper can be summarized as follows.(1) Using H steel girder as the support point of the new type formwork-supporting systems, the author designed a new support which can fix on the lower flange of H steel girder. Ultimate bearing capacity and deformation have been studied by theory calculation. The result indicated that the H steel girder has enough bearing capacity for the support fixed point. And the new support assembles conveniently.(2) Using existing grid structural systems and truss structural systems the author designed many kinds of formwork systems for concrete floor of steel structures. It indicated that these formwork systems have enough bearing capacity as the support of concrete floor through the theoretical analysis.The new type formwork-supporting systems can be reused, and it insured the relative independence between the adjacent storey-parts in constructing buildings.
