With the rapid development of our national economy in industrial fields, the application of rotating machinery is increasing rapidly , especially the steam-turbines for electric power industry. Not only the number of the steam-turbines but also the capacity is growing up steadily and quickly. Therefore, to guarantee the machines'operating safely and economically is becoming an important issue, which should be faced and handled by corporations and power-producing enterprises. On the other hand, the rapid progress in computer technology, signal processing theory and methods, and the sharp decline of the prices of DSP chips, have led the application of DSP in instruments to a more and more profound extent.The paper mainly discusses the data acquisition system based on general DSP, which is the TMS320LF2407A of TI company. TMS320LF2407A is not only quick in operating, less power consuming,rich in hardware resource,but also easy to fulfill the FFT. The paper determines the general design of monitoring system based on domestic and overseas concerned technology. It focuses on discussing the design of the hardware and software of the monitoring system based on DSP, and designs the steam-turbines monitoring system. In this system,we get the vibration signal needed to analyze through the adjustment of output signal, and we make the vibration signal implement FFT,so that we achieve the measurement of system vibration. The system assures measuring accuracy through letting up phase shift, and strengthens the function of data analysis. At the same time,it also has low cost, high performance and it is extended easily .Therefore, The study of the monitoring system provides the fault diagnosis of steam turbine and steady performance with condition,and it has important practical meaning.
