Recognize The Order Sense Of Architecture

Chinese people always have different ideas of architecture compared to the West. In recent years, a lot of world-famous architects came to China looking for chances. Unexpectedly, much people express their ideas that they don't identify with those architects, as a result, their important items always have to face the controversy between the supporters and discommenders. The complexion of the controversy shows something developmentally. For example, what does architecture feel like within Chinese people's mind? What kind of manner do Chinese people have towards the tradition and modern life? What kind of architecture do Chinese people really need? This research is an attempt to work over these questions. By compared to the architecture ethical function between China and the West, reviewed the similarities and differences between them, and analyzed with a view of humanities, this research tries to create a new field towards architecture——the order sense of architecture."Ethical function"is concerned to"modernity", contains the meaning of self-criticism, becomes the manner of being subject of people selves in company with"power function"and"knowledge function", looks after the comprehensive and essential mission——being subject of people selves. As organism and subject, people explore and inspect their order sense actively. Order sense is principal as a kind of appetence, it may modify people's order sense. The meaning of consciousness and also the meaning of order sense act on the course of study. The first part is an introduction to the meaning and survey of this research. The second part compares the aesthetics and ornament between China and the west.The third part compares the space concept, the forth part compares the society between them. The fifth part is established in modern life, compares their missions in real-life problems, and analyzes the responsibility of architecture's ethical function. Finally, this research advances"arts of existence"as the reply to the recognition of architecture's order sense.
