With the global economics rapid development, the environmental problems become more and more serious. Now the focus which was paied attention to has already changed from economic benefits to energy and environment condition. How to control the environmental problems continue to worsen is an important topic in the 21 century. An effective approach has been provided for sustainable development by LCA.At first, the background,purpose and meaning of the research were introduced. The contents and structure has been put forward based on the analysis. The actual value of reducing the environmental effect about this research was pointed out. Then, the concept,character and development of LCA were discussed in detail. Its technological frame from International Standard Organization (ISO) and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) was analyzed. Its methodology was deep debated about. The existing problem and relevant program which was used on the expressway construction were pointed out.And then, the concrete application was studied. This paper compared the cement concrete,recycled concrete and fly-ash concrete. The result indicate that the pollution was come from cement manufacturing and power producing, and the pollutant was mainly CO2 that was exhausted on the stage of energy depletion; By mixing fly ash, the consumption of energy and the discharge of CO,CxHy can be reduced efficiently. At the same time the green degree of environment can be improved. Because of the theories and methods of the influence evaluation were not mature. The environment evolution model was studied, which made use of MonteCarl method and KS examination to confirm environment cost.At last, the informationization development of LCA on material performance was introduced. On the basis of comparing subsistent software, the database and software system was brought forward. The software system includes LCA on material performance module,LCA on material performance comparing module and displaying module. This software system can compare the green degree of different material performance, which provides a platform for the user.
