The centrifugal Fans take the important role in our national economic, but there is the low efficiency and high noise in the present designing centrifugal Fan. So, the important task is to design a fan which has high efficiency, low noise, and well aerodynamic matching condition. Because of the longer design time, model-experiment, taxing and repeat working, low modifiability, the simulation method be given, which can to simulate the performance, choice the model, analyze the condition at the deferent parameters. The flow in the channels of centrifugal fan, which consists of inlet, rotating diffuser and volute, is very complex. In most cases, this kind of flow field is always obtained by calculating the local flow field of the individual components. Along with the developing of the numerical technology and computer these years, some three-dimensional viscous CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) softwares are used in fluid machine to analysis the internal flow.Three-dimensional viscous CFD software-Fluent is used in the present study, and as a result, an internal flow field of a centrifugal fan under three different operating conditions is obtained. And many important phenomena of the flow in the centrifugal fan are analyzed by using the obtained results, These calculated results represent some important flow characteristics in the impeller well. Through the study of the flow field, the distributions of the velocity and pressure in the centrifugal fan were obtained. The results provide important theoretical basis for investigating the factors, which affect the noise of centrifugal fan. This can help to improve the design of centrifugal fan to achieve a high efficiency and wide operating range.
