It is a lasting national policy in carrying out the sustainable development strategy to speed up the development of underground space, to tap thoroughly the potential of the land, to save energy and reduce pollution emission. And deep excavation is one of technical issues facing the development of underground space. It is an eternal topic of deep excavation to adopt a safe and economic support method.Wuxi city is located at the bank of Taihu Lake in Yantze River Delta, and the geological condition has its characters suitable to the application of combined support method of deep excavation. With a project of deep excavation under construction in Wuxi as its background, this paper studies design method and key technology for combined support method from the view of design and measurement.In Chapter One, this paper discusses the aspects of design of support of deep excavation, including the form and it application scope. All analysis and research is based on the geological condition of Wuxi.In Chapter Two, this paper discusses the design philosophy and calculation of the combined support system.In Chapter Three, with the Project of Wuxi Runhua Global Mansion as the background, this paper discusses in detail the design method and calculation theory, and the key technologies.In Chapter Four, also with the Project of Wuxi Runhua Global Mansion as the background, This paper analysis the displacement and inertial force obtained from the measurement.In Chapter Five, This paper concludes some understanding, and puts forward some suggestions on the future research.
