With the advancement of the sensor technology, the electronic technology and thecomputer technology, low voltage apparatus have stridden into intelligent type after thedevelopment from electromagnetic type to electronic type, measurement and controllingtechnology with MCU is successfully applied to various low voltage apparatus. In recentyears, every country in the world is settling the key technical problems of designing lowvoltage apparatus, and has already made remarkable achievement. Measure precision ishigher, and protective function is more. This project is based on the new development. Bythis project, we can explore measurement and controlling technology of universal circuitbreaker.By absorbing the academic and technical literature of electric power from abroad andthe country, this paper thoroughly researches measurement and controlling technology ofthe controlling unit, gives the specific realization project of software and hardware. Itrealizes the precise measurement and protective function, changes the situation that it justmeasures lowly precise electric current and voltage, and settles the calculation problem ofpower. It gives the settling methods of the synchronization of electric current and voltage.The electro magnetic compatibility of universal circuit breaker is very important to securityof power distribution and operating safely. The hardware and software's methods ofsettling EMC problems are also raised. Furthermore, modbus communication protocol,regulation and contents are introduced. A controlling unit is made according to theprinciple. It is tested, and it achieves all functions and performance.
