Research On The Schedule Controlling Method Of The Construction Project Based On BIM

Schedule management is one of the goals of the project management, and it directly impact on construction project’s success rate. Schedule management’s main task is that we use the limited resources and the lowest cost to complete the construction of the project within the prescribed time. Along with the progress of the construction industry, the data to control the schedule also increases. The traditional project management model may effect by man-made and irresistible factors when it is access to the information. It cause a delay in decision-making and information retention problems. Consulting methods for two-dimensional drawings and printed materials is time-consuming. So, there is an urgent need to find a more effective method to control and progress the management. The theory of progress controlling provides a new theoretical support, and BIM technology provides a new way to control it. However, the BIM technology is not much connected to the schedule controlling. So it is necessary to study the progress controlling based on the BIM technology, aiming to have a valuable and practical method.This paper discusses the research of situation at home and abroad first. For the basis, it puts forward the purpose and meaning of project controlling and BIM technology. Then the problem going to be solved is coming out. Then there is a brief statement on the theory of schedule controlling and the BIM technology. Then on the basis of the foregoing statements, it analyses how the BIM technology works, including the contents of schedule controlling and the applications of BIM technology. Schedule controlling mainly includes the planning of the goals and the steps of the planning. The paper analyses the methods and systems of schedule controlling on the basis of how the targets are confirmed, resolved and proved in detail. Coupled with AUTODESK’s BIM softwares and Project, it achieve the visualization and simulation of BIM schedule controlling. Combined the forward line graph and BIM technology, this paper have the deviation analysis of the controlling targets, and also explain the application of Luban MC and Glodon BIM5D in schedule controlling. In the end, it carry out cases to demonstrate the feasibility of schedule controlling based on the previous analysis.This paper combines schedule controlling theory and BIM together, and achieves the visualization and simulation of progress controlling based on BIM. It is certainly helpful for the schedule controlling of construction projects management, but also for learning experience of the further study. It is efficient over the schedule of construction projects, and has a certain role in promoting the development of cities.
