MH-NI BATTERY HAS BEEN WIDELY USED AND FASTLY DEVELOPED, BECAUSE OF ITS EXCELLENT SYNTHETIC PERFORMANCE, SUCH AS HIGH SPECIFIC ENERGY, LONG CIRCLE LIFE, ADAPTING TO BIG CURRENTS DISCHARGE, NO CD POLLUTION AND REPLACEMENT OF CD/NI BATTERY. FACED WITH THE ENLARGEMENT OF BATTERY REQUIREMENT AND THE NEED OF HIGH PERFORMANCE, THE TRADITIONAL BATTERY TESTING METHOD ISN'T ABLE TO SATISFY OUR NEEDS. IT TAKES TOO LONG TIME ,CONSUMES A LOT OF ELECTRIC ENERGY, AND SHORTENS THE LIFE OF THE BATTERY DURING TESTING, IN THE MEANTIME IT ISN'T ABLE TO GUARANTEE THE CONSISTENCY OF THE BATTERY PERFORMANCE. THEREFORE WE MUST PUT FORWARD A KIND OF BATTERY TESTING METHOD WHICH IS FASTER AND CAN SAVE MORE ENERGY.EIS METHOD HAS BEEN WIDELY USED IN THE FIELD OF ELECTROCHEMISTRY. WE CAN KNOW HOW EVERY ELECTROCHEMISTRY PARAMETER CHANGES IN THE PROCESS OF ELECTRODE REACTION BY MEANS OF THIS METHOD. IN THIS PAPER EIS WILL BE USED IN THE BATTERY TESTING, AND SOLVE THE SHORTAGE OF TRADITIONAL BATTERY TESTING METHOD.In this paper, AA type MH-Ni battery is regarded as a study object. We measure its EIS and confirm the equivalent circle model and electrochemistry parameters. After that we use mixed arithmetic fitting the parameters in the model, and genetic arithmetic selects the best original value of the parameters that ensure NLLS constringency. So the electrochemistry parameters could be fitted on line, which is the key point of the method.At the end of this paper, two experiments are made. One is the research on EIS of battery in charge and discharge circle, the other is the research on EIS of different DOD. We have the rule of every parameter changing in the experiments and the effect on the parameter during testing, and then we can confirm the foundation of the fast testing method.
