This paper uses the professional engine analysis software GT-POWER to model and simulate the working process of turbocharged locomotive diesel. It found a simulation model. Computing and analyzing the work process of 16V240ZJB diesel as an example of this model and draw a conclusion that the model is right. This model includes engine model, turbocharger model, intercooler model, intake and exhaust system model and injector model.First, this paper introduces the background and significance of this research subject, then it explaines exactly these mathematical models. The main function and advanced ways of GT-POWER was represented simply after that. Last this article explained how to found this virtual model in GT-POWER using a large word. This simulation model concludes in-cylinder model, fuel injection system model, turbocharger model, intercooler model and intake and exhaust system model, crank train model.The model this article was found has a large function and simple operation. It has a good result of 16V240ZJB diesel as a validate example. First, computed the fixed condition of 16V240ZJB, including the pressure in cylinder, the temperature in cylinder, BSFC, the map of turbine and compressor and so on. Compared with test results and computation results, we found the result of computation is correct .This paper forecasts the discharge concentration on the base of this model, and we found that it have a right trend.In a word , this model have attained many data and curves which is not get easily in test by this model .Also, the model and this software have a large function and it will provide the more and more convenience to study the performance of diesel engine.
