| The planning and design for urban residential block have been in-depth analyzed from the points of Resources and entironment, city, living environment. The study has sunned up some theories concerning the subject through research on relevant literature. Besides, the study also summarized some practical experience for the construction of residential area through research on some typical residential block. Based on the above-mentioned study, the theory of sustainable urban residential block has been put forward. Meanwhile, some principles, strategies and methods for the planning and design of sustainable residential block have been addressed.In Chapter 2, the development history of urban residential block has been reviewed, and some practical experience has been summarized. The idea of sustainable urban block has been put forward in Chapter 3, and the principles and strategies for designing residential block have been analyzed. In Chapter 4, the methods for the layout and design of urban block from the environment's point have been discussed. The study ends up with a specific case in Chapter 5 that applies the study's theory, which is the design of No. 22 plot of Nangang District, Harbin. |
