At present, energy is a serious problem. And energy consumption of buildings is major aspect in that. According to the experience of developed countries, energy consumption of buildings can reach 40% of the total energy consumption. Furthermore, energy consumption of heating is major aspect in that of buildings. So the study of energy conservation of heating is very necessary. There are several kinds of study methods of energy conservation of heating, more famous of which are energy analysis method and exergy analysis method and so on. Based on the first law of thermodynamics, the former longs after higher utilization ratio, however ignores the non-equivalence of energy. So it cannot analyze thermodynamic system as unified index. Based on the first and the second laws of thermodynamics, the latter considers the non-equivalence of energy in quality, however ignores the non-equivalence of energy in price. So it often appears that energy-saving but no money-saving.Based on the fundamental laws of thermodynamics, this paper analyzes heating system in thermal economics method. Combined the concept of exergy in the second law of thermodynamics with economics, the thermal economics analysis offers thermal economic evaluation method and system optimization method of the operation of central heating system by researching exergy flow cost, total cost and unit exergy flow cost. The establishment of the thermal economic analysis method of central heating system offers reliable theoretical foundation to designing of central heating system, and orientation and path to the energy conservation of central heating.
