Seat belts, air bags and other restraint safety devices are widely used in automobile, the corresponding vehicle safety regulations are accordingly issued and implemented, but more attention in a dummy head, chest, and thighs, pelvis, and other parts of protection , and the protective effect on the neck is less concern. Studies show that in the impact, neck injury on the considerable harm to the people of disability is also very high, study of the airbag to the neck protective effect is especially important value.In the process of airbag deployment,airbag contact to dummy's body, with the contacts on different parts of the dummy's neck vary greatly affected, a lot of test data study indicate that, when the deployed airbag directly contact on head, the injury to the neck is least, but when the deployed airbag contact on jaw and chin cavity, the injury to the neck will be great, in the design and matching airbags process, we need to pay attention to these effects, and ensure deployed airbag directly contact with the dummy's head.(1) This paper introduces the system of occupant restraint, and the status at home and abroad of occupant restraint system related to the evaluation criteria and national regulatory requirements;(2) Study the effect of dummy's neck when airbag loading through test and draw a general conclusion.
