The Research Of Bionic Form Design In Product Design

In the field of product design, bionic form design is always an important design method. The bionic products satisfy people's psychological needs, arouse people's natural feelings, and remind people's attention to nature with calling upon the development of ecology design. This complies with the trend of times.This paper starts with the basic concepts of "bionics" and "bionic design", and then researches the application of bionic form design in the field of product design. The paper explains the meaning, principle and sort of bionic form design. The paper analyzes the intensional value of bionic form design from culture, cognitive psychology and product semantics, in order to establish the design method on a basis of higher theory level.Secondly, according to finding the combination of basic product design and bionic design, the author establishes the design method of bionic form design which is based on the view of product system. The system's flow are confirming bionic design object, cognizing biology characteristics, predigesting biology characteristics, changing biology characteristics to product and evaluating the design project. The designer can clearly know every design process, dissolve the innovational method into the design process and combine biology characteristics with product characteristics more efficiently.Finally, based on the theory, the author analyses some successful cases to prove its correctness.
