The 3D-Visualization of complex geological body is an important branch of geosciences visualization. Geological bodies include the internal property and the external property. In the underground construction, rock-shaped distribution and production patterns of surface rock structure, particularly weak rock face, such as how to determine the border of geological structure have very important significances to the engineering design. In the design of mineral exploitation, ore grade distribution and the location can be expressed through the visualization technology to enhance the level of modernization at mining exploitation area. Therefore, the more urgent needs to the visualization of complex geological body, increasingly, the more extensive study to the complex geological body.In the 3D-Visualization of complex geological body research, the key point is to build a model of how to mapping the geometric data by numeric data. This paper combining with drilled data of coal mine, design the application of mixed data modelling system which is fit for the mining geology spatial data to be expressed. Provide the idea that the general process of geological modelling and the visualization processes of typical construction. The main tasks in this paper include :(1) Set up a preliminary framework of geological body visualization. After studying the geological data sources based on the characteristics of multi-origin, the system used two spatial interpolated methods : Distance Power Inverse Ratio method and Kriging method. Research the theoretical basis and applicability of the spatial interpolated methods, including the geometry methods, spatial statistical methods and artificial neural network interpolated methods.(2) Discuss the technique of the geo-visualization systematically, and all algorithms are successfully completed. Use the methods of surface rendering and direct volume rendering to achieve standard geological structure and fault visualization. Propose a method that using a three prism as a basic volume cell. At fault region, use the constrained Delaunay triangulation and simulate the fault by Distance Diffraction method with the discontinuity regional variables using the interpolated data from Kriging method.
