As the aggravation of traffic pollution and the increase of consciousness in human environment protection, more and more countries realize the importance to develop urban rail transit. Monorail vehicle has the characters of mcderate-cost, huge-transport ability, small-pollution and adapting to complex landform, so it becomes more and more popular to people. As its special adaptability, monorail system becomes the most popular type of medium and small cities,coastal cities,mountain cities.ChongQing introduces into Japanese techniques for the first time to adapt straddle-type as the preferred mode, but when vehicle is running, random vibration has an effect on ride index and ride comfort, however, there is no maturely PSD to describe the track irregularity of monorail vehicle, and there is no complete evaluation system of monorail vehicle's ride index and ride comfort.On the basis of a number of data, numerical simulation method is adopted to figure out irregularity data from American railway PSD, road PSD, and airport PSD in MATLAB software, then monorail car model and track models are built in ADAMS software, and dynamic simulation is performed under the experiment speed, then acceleration data under the three irregularity PSD are compared to practical data of ChongQing monorail vehicle, The results indicate that American railway PSD is similar to the irregularity of ChongQing monorail tracks, the right PSD is chosen as monorail track's PSD.On the basis of simulation model, dynamic simulation is performed under variety situations, national standard (GB5599-85) on the basis of Sperling and UIC513 standard are adopted to evaluate ride index and ride comfort of monorail vehicle. Results of evaluation indicate that monorail vehicle can satisfy the comfort of passengers.
