With the development of technology on the mitigation of seismic disaster,more and more energy dissipation systems have been applied in the buildings.In this paper,an improved pseudo-viscous frictional damper(IPVFD)was studied,and used in SDOF system.The impact of IPVFD's relevant parameters was studied.The main research contents of this thesis is as follows;1.The structure of vibration control and different of dampers was introduced,and raised the work of this thesis.2.The characteristic of the IPVFD was introduced,and deduced the mathematical model.The impact of IPVFD's relevant parameters was studied.3.The structural dynamics of numerical calculation methods which contain Wilson-θmethod,Newmark-βmethod and time integration method was introduced,and applied in the IPVFD.We can analysis and compare on the accuracy of the numerical calculation methods.4.The seismic performance of structures incorporating the IPVFD is analysed in the SDOF system.Using the time integration method and different stimulations,the impact of IPVFD's relevant parameters was studied.
