The window is the important component of the building's enclosure structure, it's chronic use energy consumption accounts for half of energy consumption of the whole building, so the energy-conservation of the window is the important breach of energy-conserving of building. The thesis, according to the strategic thought of sustainable development and on the basis of absorbing domestic and overseas research results extensively, uses the value engineering of the technological economics to study how to design rational the house window while.The key content of the thesis is the application of the VE (value engineering) in design of the energy-conserving window of the house. The thesis contrasted the domestic and international current situation about the energy-conserving research of house and the energy-conservation of house window, and found out the disparity existing among them, and has reviewed the development course of designing energy-conservation window of the house, thus put forward the thought of using the VE to design in energy-conservation of the house window. The thesis have explained the definition of the VE and it's basic theorem and the general working routines of the VE, have combined the energy-conservation window of the house's concrete characteristic to propose the working routine of the VE in designing energy-conserving window of the house, have expounded the significance and the present situation of using the VE in our country's architectural design, and has proposed the measure of popularizing the VE in the architectural design.The function analysis and function evaluation are the cores of VE, the thesis began with the simple classification of the house window and the function's definition and collation, have explained the course of the function analysis and function evaluation of the energy-conserving window. The whole life cycle cost has occupied the key position in the VE, the thesis has carried on detailed analysis comparatively to the whole life cycle cost of the energy-conserving window of the house, have described the meaning and the composition content of the whole life cycle cost of energy-conserving house window, considering the necessity of the whole life cycle cost and carrying on the best opportunity of analysis the whole life cycle cost, and summarized the calculate formula and method of the house window's the whole life cycle cost. The thesis has set up the evaluation model of the design of energy-conserving window with the principle of VE, and take the design of house window in cold area as an example to describe the course of using the model in this, this evaluation model can be also suitable for the design of other windows in other climate areas.
