The study is based on the regenerative practice of the scattered old li-nong dwellings in JingAn district. It hopes to find out the available way to solve the problems through analysing the characters and problems of the scattered old li-nong dwellings in central city of Shanghai, anatomizing several typical cases, collecting relative modes, concluding the experience.The study researches into the cause of the scattered old li-nong dwellings in JingAn district, analyses their status and social characters. It reviews the course of every regenerative moments and compares with other redevelopment methods from the historical point of view; It expatiates on the principle parts of renewal and their relationship through analysing the basic elements; With the examples in JingAn district, it discusses three modes of the renewal at present, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of the modes from the effects, maneuverabilities, generalizations.In the end, the study puts forward some political advices and gives some references for accelerating the renewal of scattered old li-nong dwellings in central city of Shanghai in the future.
