The shafting is located between main engine or the output flange of gear reducer and propeller, it's main task is transmits the power from main engine to propeller and transfer the thrust from the propeller to the ship to drive the ship go forward . The task of shafting design is to confirm the shafting disposal and the size and materials of each parts according to the request of hull design , so it can make sure the shafting can complete the propulsion target at each station safely and reposefully.Shafting digital design is attribute to the subsystem module development of ship digital intelligent design system. The module of shafting design is a kind of assistant design software ,the main function of this module is to replace present's calculation and repeated task of shafting design, and create some principle drawings and documents automatically by the interaction of human and computer.In order to complete this task, we have to explore the module of calculation and parameter design, data-base and equipment-base. The data and equipment base is the task of collectivity's job, so the emphasis research content of this paper is to develop the module calculation and parameter.The shafting calculation module and parameter design module is attribute to the marine engineering design module. The calculation module is mainly process the shafting related calculations, thereby it can provide data to parameter design module; the parameter design module is to analyse the data on the base of secondary develop the software Autocad, and create shafting related drawings on the base of human computer interaction.Shafting parameter design module is the basic part of marine engineering module, this module is work in the interface of software Autocad, it can create shafting layout, principle drawings and other technical documents according to the data of calculation module, collectivity data-base, equipment-base's data and the input data by human computer interface. This paper mainly research the human computer interactive and parameter drawing design data input interface ,primary achieve the target of parameter design needed menu, dialogue box, parameter drawing by secondary develop tool Autolisp&DCL.Shafting calculation module is the main part of marine engineering design module, this module should work on the interface of software Autocad, and provide the data to parameter design module at the same time, it also can take data out of the parameter design result to calculate and create calculations. This paper is mainly process the shafting traditional design's related calculations, research and explore the calculation module digital design, make a well matting for further work.
