Case Study Method And The Application In City Planning

Along with the advancement of society and the development of city, various technical means and investigative methods have been applied to the realm of city planning increasingly. Case study method also gets into people's visual field gradually. As a proved scientific research method, Case study research has been intensively used in different realm as business administration and legal affair. It provides us realistic environment and help to backlog abundant experiences and knowledge. Drawing lessons from experiences in the usage of case study method in business administration, this paper put forward the framework of case study method in urban planning. Through the establishment of ecological central business district in Jinjiang, the whole process of case study would provide the new theories and practice for urban planning and the establishment of ecological city center.
