Research On Knowledge Management For Improvement Of Industrial Designers' Innovative Capability

With the development of economic globalization and digital technology, the world has entered into the age of knowledge economy. Industrial design is a crossing and integrating discipline, relating to many scientific domains. Take the perspective of knowledge management, industrial design itself is work of knowledge management, and a process of knowledge producing, saving, applying and innovating. Basing on advanced theories of knowledge management, to research knowledge management theories and practices on how to improve designers'innovative capability will build suitable environment for industrial designers, inspire production of excellent design, help enterprises manage design work in knowledge economy, and provide reference for designing knowledge management IT systems.Through researching on a large amount of relevant literatures, basing on the theories, methods and techniques of knowledge management and innovation management, and combining with the research on knowledge management practices in domestic and foreign enterprises, this thesis1) analyzed the characteristics of knowledge relevant to industrial design;2) the process of knowledge transformation in the procedure of design;3) proposed the characteristics of knowledge management for industrial design;4) strategies of knowledge management for industrial design5) executive disciplines of knowledge management for industrial design;6) summarized ten contents of knowledge management for industrial design in executive sequence;7) presented their relationship systematically in diagram named the Framework of Knowledge Management for Industrial Design;Wish this thesis could provide guidance and reference for industrial organizations when they attempt to execute knowledge management.
