| Nowadays, in China, the adjustment of industrial structure and the implementation of environmental protection measurements bring on the problem that a large amount of areas occupied by industrial historic buildings. The rebirth of industrial historic buildings has an important influence on the city.Taking a panoramic view of the history of the re-utilization of industrial historic buildings, the original creation of the artists makes the contribution in the reconstruction of the industrial historic buildings. The differences of the artistic concepts and the creative methods between artists and architects make the regeneration of industrial historic buildings very flexible and diverse. The artistic regeneration expresses a new idea of cultural values and a new concept of the combination of heritage protection and urban development. Combining the phenomenon of contemporary art, this article aims to analyze the artistic regeneration and discuss the building spiritual and cultural connotations.First of all, this article analyzes the objective and meaning of this research project. Secondly, it discusses the history of artistic regeneration of industrial historic buildings and then expounds the different art characteristics of artists and architects from the view of the conditions and motivations of artistic regeneration. Based on these discussions, the article also shows the influences between the modern art and the contemporary architecture, and briefly discusses the experimental works of contemporary artists in this background. Finally, this article summarizes the influences and evaluations of the artistic regeneration and indicates that it is necessary to consider the effect from the connection of art with architecture in order to improve the performance in the reconstruction of the industrial historic buildings. |
