Crawler Bulldozer is one of the typical models of construction machinery, widely used in construction, road building, mining, water conservancy, agriculture, forestry and national defense building earthwork and stonework projects. Currently, 410 crawler bulldozers is the largest model of the domestic similar products which independent research and development, all properties of this Product are in the domestic advanced level, the overall rational structure, it has excellent dynamic matching, excellent performance and reliability.Crawler is an important component of the bulldozers. In the process of moving and operations,walking agencies of bulldozers are working under all type of pressure and torque. Therefore, the walking agencies of large models bulldozers, there should be better design and development methods. For a long time, the agencies of crawler bulldozer, including the development of crawler, has been dominated by the traditional model, the level design and manufacture are very low, mainly relies on traditional and experience designs, and the capacity of use CAD/CAM and other modern designs, manufacturing technology are limited. Especially for large bulldozers, the development is use the traditional way. large amount of capital input, compare with the international advanced similar models, body size, weight and performance of the domestic large bulldozers has still a big gap. The products'cost- proceeds is low. As China's WTO entry of construction machinery industry, domestic product is not a competitive advantage.In this paper, we analyses the crawler and the composition of the component parts of the theoretical. Basing on Pro/E for the establishment of a three-dimensional model, by the interface modules, we lead the three-dimensional model and into the kinematics and dynamics simulation software ADAMS as well as FEM, then do the dynamic simulation and finite element analysis of the strength and stiffness.(1) On the basis of a large number of references in reading and in-depth study of theories, the paper expounded the status and trends of the development of crawler and virtual prototyping technology of the development and prospects, compared domestic design standards with foreign, we know that the design of Bulldozers is on a lower level, due to have no enough in the domestic core of the theory of bulldozers and the modern design methods and the use of substantial short-board. Particularly CAD/CAE use of virtual prototyping technology narrower, A direct result of the slow replacement products, failed to keep pace with the overall pace. Virtual prototyping methods exist for the use of inadequate status quo, put forward an effective way to solve the problem.(2)On the virtual prototype technology in the running application, identified crawler walking in kinematics, dynamics simulation and finite element analysis of stiffness strength required by the basic theory and basic research programmers;(3)Based on the overall projects and bulldozers-frame structure simulation required, in accordance with crawler "four area" and the layout of the Taiwan Frame theory, the paper use PRO/E software, establish the overall crawler, and a number of peripheral components (such as Frame) model is established, the operating agencies to ensure that the simulation analysis accuracy. And precision on the model does not affect the results of the simulation analysis appropriately simplified to ensure that the simulation analysis in the ADAMS and ANSYS software carried out smoothly;(4)On the way to a three kinematics, dynamics simulation about the crawler, the paper determine of the stability of the vehicle, the steering radius of the center and to determine, drive sprocket engagement with the track link between the wontact force of the analysis of the "four area," the main dynamic characteristics were studied; (5)Calculation identified the load on the crawler frame, then accordance with the actual conditions in the crawler frame imposed suffered through the coordinate transformation, uniform method of complete vehicles to which they are constrained to the crawler frame force to impose.the crawler frame some of the major components of concern for the finite element analysis, which identified the material close to the limit of parts and components to improve again after analysis, improved model by force than the original model with more force big improvement;The study of the paper content of the manufacturers'deeper understanding of the crawler device dynamic characteristics of the crawler devices, especially the "four area" designed to further improve the availability of a realistic basis.
