With the design service life of the major structure of tunnel added to 100 years, the requirement of shield tunnel has been higher than before. Meanwhile in the service process the tunnels which have been build have appear many problem, such as leakage, steel-bar corrosion, concrete segment disrepair,etc, which has caused large expense of manpower and material resources. While, it is come to light that the structure of durability of ring joint and segment joint within the structure of shield tunnel lining play a very important roal to the constrained and durability of the whole structure shield tunnel. So it is necessary to study the issue of the structure and durability of lining joint of shield tunnel specialiy through experiments and theoretical analysis.This paper is involved with the scientific project of Shanghai Construction Technology Expansion Funds, the durability and service life of underground concrete lining structure, at the background of the tunnel of Shanghai Changjiang River, the study aim at the main infection factors of lining joint. On one hand, through experimental investigatin give new forcast model and simplifmg forcast method for the waterproof material which is often used in shield tunnel, and give optimizing advices through study the structure and durability of lining joint of shield tunnel combine with methods of waterproof. On the other hand, through analyzing shield tunnel longitudinal stress study the longitudinal stress condition of huge crossing-river tunnel and its spoil mechanism and evaluat lining joint security. The work and fruits of this paper are the followings:1. Analyzing the structure of the lining joint of the shield tunnel and influencing factor of its durability. Through study the structure of the lining joint of the shield tunnel and comparing some kinds of joint used in outland and inland, get the conclusion of that many factors, such as the service life of waterproof material of joint, the stress speciality of lining joint, play a very impotant role in the durability of the whole structure shield tunnel. 2. Experimental investigating two kind of waterproof material which is often used in shield tunnel. According to the experiments result of two kind of waterproof material ,the indoor celerity experiments result of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and water-swell rubber, get the aging regular of these two kinds of rubber. The experiments result of tension capability and swell capability of water-swell rubber, make up the blankness of base study of water-swell-rubber.3. Giving new forcast model of service life of the waterproof material. Through analyzing experiments result of two kind of waterproof materials give new forcast model of service life of the waterproof material. Use data analysis statistics software to predigest the method of data disposal, and forcast the service life of the waterproof material. Give the conclusion of that the ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and water-swell rubber can meet the request of the 100 years' service life in the hot and oxygen circumstance.4. Evaluate the durability of waterproof material, and give optimizing advices which could improving the durability. According to the result of forcast the service life of the waterproof material combine with study of the structure of lining joint of shield tunnel and methods of waterproof give some experimental investigatin on the form of lining tinertoy, and form of lining joint, and parameter of lining joint member, and methods of waterproof and father of leaking water, etc, to improve quanlity of waterproof and joint stiffness.5. Analyzing shield tunnel longitudinal stress and evaluating lining joint security. Combine with the design paramenter of the tunnel of Shanghai Changjiang River and use the theory of equivalently-longitudinally stiffness model analysis the longitudinally stress and spoil mechanism of shield tunnel. Analyzing the stress condition of lining joint and evaluating its security combine with the calculate results.
