At present, the problem of tunnel leakage is very serious in our country. The traditional waterproof board, with low flexibility, much too lapping parts and high technique requirements, has exposed a series of problems in the service process of tunnel waterproofing. Spray-applied acrylate waterproof technology has many advantages, including no lap joints, excellent integrity, and fully closed surface. Through a number of tunnel projects, it shows that, spray-applied acrylate waterproof technology has great advantages compared to the traditional waterproof board. However, as a new type of waterproof technologys in tunnel, spray-applied acrylate waterproof technology has some technical problems to be solved urgently. Depending on the project of Wujiawan tunnel engineering, this paper researched the applicability of spray-applied acrylate waterproof technology in the single-line railway tunnel through the methods of site tests, numerical simulation and laboratory experiments. The main research contents and achievements are shown as below:(1) Through the investigation of some railway tunnels and the site test of Wujiawan tunnel engineering, key technical indicators of spray-applied acrylate waterproof were researched systematicly and a complete construction technology of spray-applied acrylate waterproof for the single-line railway tunnel was established.(2) On the basis of laboratory experiments and theoretical analysis, the water-pressure relieving mechanism and the key factors that affect the property of composite spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane structure was understood.(3) With the combination of Wujiawan tunnel engineering and the numerical simulation, the law of the effect of water head, lateral pressure and the geotextiles’ specification to the lining water pressure was found.(4) The pivotal factors effecting the durability of spray-applied acrylate waterproof membrane and the law of the effect of alkaline medium and SO42- to material’s durability was obtained through literature research and laboratory experiments.
