The concrete cover thickness plays an important role on the concrete slabs . An appropriate cover thickness can not only provide the slabs with excellent cohesive strength,durability and fire-resistant capability ,but also insure the rebar to fully perform its mechanics capability so that the ultimate capacity of slabs can be ensured. However, in the construction site, the worker don't attach enough importance to the designed position of the negative reinforcements of concrete slab, which lead to the position of negative reinforcements often can't be ensured. This negligence will result in the concrete cover thickness is thicker than normal, which maybe reduce the ultimate capacity of slabs for one aspect ,and even bring to big accidents in the future that left hidden trouble to the structure. For the domestic still lack the experimental research on this field so that this paper presents an experimental research on 11 one-way reinforced concrete slabs with different concrete cover thickness, lay stress on the influence on the ultimate capacity and serviceability of slabs caused by the change of concrete cover thickness and through the clean up of the test data and theory analysis, make a deep research on the effect of the performance of the reinforced concrete slabs by change of the concrete cover thickness, at the same time, utilize the ANSYS to do FEM analysis, eventually get some regular conclusions. The main work including following aspects:1 .Make a research on the performance of the reinforced concrete cantilever slabs with different concrete cover thickness;2.Make a research on the performance of the reinforced concrete slabs which two ends are both fixed with different concrete cover thickness;3.Through adjusting the ends reinforcements amount of slabs with two fixed supports, achieving the moment adjustment, make a research on the moment redistribution theory;4.Make a research on the influence of the slab behavior between Cold - Rolled Ribbled Steel Wires and Hot rolled Plain Steel bars level 235;5.Finite element method is used to help studying the slabs bending bearing performance,and utilize ANSYS to do finite element analysis. The result of finite element analysis was compared with test data in this thesis. The test results indicate that the change of the concrete cover thickness will make certain influence on the behavior of the slabs,the different support conditions may lead to different influence. On the one hand, the conclusions deduced from the test data will be helpful to the concrete cover thickness construction and check standard, and on the other hand, it will be helpful to abundance related theory on slab calculation.
