With the rapid development of the road construction in China in recent years,the requirements to roads' function become more and more strict.It is a big problem for the road constructers to keep the roads perform well both in durability and surface function (skid resistance, water fog resistance, dazzling reduction and noise reduction). As a result, porous asphalt pavement, with the good surface function of drainage, skid resistance and noise reduction, is being emphasized gradually.In this paper the gradation,mixture design and performance of the porous asphalt mixture are researched with the aim to provide some valuable results to the research and application of the porousasphalt pavement in China.Firstly the factors influencing the porous asphalt mixture's air void were analyzed in this paper.Based on the uniform design and plenty of laboratory tests, the relation-- ship between the air void of the porous asphalt mixture and the passing ratios of main sieve sizes was regressed,and the main factors at influences the mixture's air void was found. And then, the reasonable gradation of the porous asphalt mixture was recommended according to the aimed range of the air voids.The, The mixture through a variety of conventional performance testing, and compared with other two porous asphalt mixture,to prove that the porous epoxy-modified asphalt mixture is not only a good durability and strength of performance, but also has superior anti-sliding surface, drainage, reduced noise and anti-corrosion capabilities.
