Research On Communication System Of The Large Generator-Transformer Units Protection

With the progress of information technology, it brings higher requirements for communication system of the large generator-transformer units protection device. Therefore, it is of great necessity and significance to research and develop more advanced communication system for the device. As an important part of the device, communication system is in charge of supervising the entire equipment and managing the man-machine interface. On the other hand, the system is a bridge of communicating with outer terminal or automation system. The specialty and need for application of the generator-transformer unit protection device were summarized. The selection of the software platform and the realization of communication and MMI program were explained in detail. The research returns have been put into real application and have good effects. Enrich communication interface, standard IEC 60870-5-103, friendly MMI and convenient locality debugging meet the demand completely.
