With the application and development of a Super Capacitor Energy Storage (SCES), a new development chance has happened to the storage technique of Distributed Generation (DG). The SCES provides necessary energy buffering for DG system, and it plays a very important role in improving operating stability of power system. Firstly, this paper compares the merits and disadvantage of all kinds of storage system, and indicates the SCES system has prominent advantage. This paper designed the main circuit of SCES system, whose transition circuit is a bi-directional DC-AC-DC converter, and established the SCES system unified model. Simultaneously, it has been analyzed the relation between the voltage stability of DG system and the SCES system, so a better control scheme has been designed. At last, the investigation of the SCES system is done with the use of exact simulation model. The results verify the validity of designed scheme and the flexibility of control system.
