Expressway intelligent control system is one of the most important and difficult research branch of ITS, and especially the multi-ramp control is the prominent project, for its significant theory and outstanding practical value. Fuzzy Neural Network (FNN) technology is the combination of Neutral Network and Fuzzy system and is one of the branches of intelligent technology. The most significant of it is self-study and self-adaptive. In this paper, we carried out the design and simulation of the algorithm of expressway multi-ramp control system based on ideology of system engineering and with the use of theories and methods above.In the research of basic data prepare of multi-ramp control, this paper discussed and analyzed macro-control models that are in common used in traffic flow of expressway firstly, and aimed at the problems of forecast traffic flow data in need and time delay that exist in multi-ramp collaborative control. Base on these, we put forward the solving idea of adopting short-time traffic flow forecast data and using KALMAN filtering method to realize it.In the research of multi-ramp collaborative control, we analyzed the connotation and meaning of multi-ramp control of expressway, and introduced several effective algorithms of it at first. Second, focused on the characters analysis of traffic flow of ramp, we combined traffic flow models of ramp and models of macro-traffic flow to calculate the flow data of ramp. Third, based on the analysis of fuzzy control, neural network control and the theories and methods of neural network, we established a fuzzy neural network models and ramp control algorithms by virtual in this paper. And the fourth, by utilizing the idea of macro-system theory in intelligent transportation system to construct we constructed the framework of multi-ramp control system of expressway. In the framework, we divided the system into 3 levels and they are object control level, collaborative level and direct control level, and utilize fuzzy neural network to realize direct control level and neural network to realize collaborative level individual.In the last, we used MATLAB to carry out the simulation of multi-ramp of expressway, and according to the result, the models and algorithms were proved with excellent effect.
