The lawn is one of the important elements in the urban landscape. It could bring up people the visual sense and provide people with the place of leisure and sports, and the most improtant is that it possesses the ecology resule. But when it could not be cured correctly, the weeds are coming. As a result , a lot of lawn is degenerating, and is full of weeds, that will not only lose the graceful landscape and leisure functions, but also become the propagating place of mosquitoes and other pests, that seriously affect the city's ecological safety. This article invests and indentifies the types of weeds, the growth and decline law and growth habit of the main species on the turf in Shanghai, to create urban landscape effective weed control integrated techniques. The research indicates: the weeds advantaged breeds in Shanghai area are Digitaria sanguinealis (L.) Scop, Cyperus rotundus L., Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides Lam., Veronica didyma Tenore, Poa annua L., Erigeron annuus L., Oxalis corniculata L., Alternanthera philoxeroides Griseb., Paspalum distichum L., Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertn, Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers., Echinochloa crusgalli (L.) Beauv. var. praticala Ohw., Setaria viridis (L.) Beauv. From the investion of the Festuca arundinacea and Zoysia matrella.'s weeds in decreasing and increasing, weeds'main summit is from May to July, and the weeds on Zoysia matrella appear a little summit in October, the weeds on Festuca arundinacea are seldom in the autumn. Combination of the herbicides and artificial weeding could control lawn weeds basicly and economy, and the effect is most obvious. At the same time, morn than two chemical medicament are favour of increasing the weeds pedigree and beneficial to cure the lawn.
