With project reality, the article analyzed and calculated the characteristic of some typespecial vehicle frame, using the ANSYS finite element software, and made the appraisal to thesecurity and reliability. In the frame model, it used the method of unifying board shell unit and entity unit. Thecarline, crossbeam and connection support between the host-frame and sub-frame are used ofboard shell unit. The partial structure, such as underprop on the rear frame is used of entityunit. It coupled freedom on the connection position of horse bolts in the host-frame andsub-frame, which simulated the actual assembly situation well and reduced the structureindependent freedom, enhanced the counting efficiency. In analyzing and calculating, itreplaced the oil and air spring restraint by reaction. By the analysis of the driving and using ofthe vehicle, it ascertained six kind of situation, namely two kind of travel situation, three kindof utmost situation as well as the vertical stroke situation. Then it used finite element analysissoftware to calculate the intensity separately. With the method of four nodes deflection, it hasthe torsion angle formulas which can work out the torsion angle of the utmost situation. There are two innovations in the article.First, uses the method of equivalent restraint counterforce to deal with equal wheel loadon oil and air spring suspensions as the terminal condition. This method is very simple andconvenient. It has the same result of stress and displacement with the true model of oil and airspring suspensions, except we can't make out the displacement of rigid body of automobileframe in the direction of vertical.Second, uses the method of four points to calculate torsion deformation of automobileframe, then working out the angle of torsion. This method solves the problem which couldn'tbe offered by finite element analysis.
