As the short of energy and the pollution of environment, traditional automobile industries are faced with great challenge. Various new energy vehicles are studied and electric vehicle is regard as one of the important research directions. Electric vehicle which is composed of energy store equipment (such as storage cell, super capacitance, flywheel batteries) uses the motor to drive the vehicle. It could avoid oil shortages and environmental pollution, so EV has long term potential for future main streams.This paper introduces the character of the electric vehicle, and discusses several kinds of configuration of electric vehicle. According to the demand of the CH7110 performance, the parameters of dynamical system are matched. Through the design of the configuration of whole vehicle, the parameters of transmission, motor, batteries and rational control strategy was put forward.This paper also simulated the performance of CH7110 by the ADVISOR software which is based on MATLAB. The whole vehicle model, motor model, battery model, transmission system model are studied. The results of simulation show that the performance of dynamical and economic can meet the design requirements. Speed-torque, power-efficiency and start-up characters of the motor meet the CH7110 dynamical demand.The experiment of the whole vehicle performance was done. The results show that the maximal speed, acceleration and maximum climb grade meet the design demand.
