Now, due to the fast increased urban traffic, many large cites have turned their attention to the public transportation. That the public transportation can solve the urban traffic problem has been widely accepted by governments at all levels and social communities. Investments of large amounts have been awarded to the public transportation system, and many new technologies, such as self-service ticketing, Automatic station-broadcasting system, E-post and the have been applied. But the exploited of the wireless communication module apt to the Intelligence Transportation system is far delayed. The main reason is that there has no appropriate Protocol due to the vast amount of bus, the dispersing of the bus-line, and the long working time.The ZigBee technology based on the sensor network is portable and moving devices with a kind of low cost, low complex, low date rate and short-distance. At present, it has been applied in a wide field such as the electrical appliances controlling, the defense of forest fire, the wireless meters and &. Whether it can be applied to the ITS and construct a wireless communication platform that suit the ITS is the main work that the paper studies and resolves.Referring a lot of literatures, an ITS wireless communication platform according to the ZigBee Protocol is designed based on existed network. We designed the moving nodes and plat stations with the radio chip MC13192, MCU HC08, MCF5213 etc, and achieved the star network based on the algorithm.The paper analyzes the anti-jamming ability of the ZigBee Protocol and the coexistence relation with the blue tooth, wireless USB, IEEE 802.11, studies the ZigBee network algorithm by introducing Markov chain model to solve the access probability and the delay performance to the star topology. The simulate analysis are also carried on. The result indicates that the length of date and the number of nodes dominate the performance of network. The ZigBee can meet require of the wireless communication of ITS if those factors are being controlled.
