The single-phase ground fault is the most fault in mine high-voltage distribution network of 6kV, occupy more than 80% of whole faults. The single-phase ground fault of the mine power distribution system will not only cause physical electric shock, but also may lead to gas and coal dust explosions and even the electric primer exploded earlier, so, the research and development of a reliable, convenient, effective, safely and stable leakage protective system is quite necessary.Traditional leakage protective systems usually use the wired mode for information transmission, but there are some deficiencies like the wiring trouble, low flexibility, and the difficulties of network deployment. Therefore, we use the ZigBee technology to achieve wireless networks, and wireless information transmission.The ZigBee wireless sensor network has many advantages like easy to deploy and move, robust, low energy consumption, high localization precision and low-cost, it deploys a multi-hop ad hoc networks through the wireless sensor nodes on every branch of the power grid, no need to lay the cables and can be easy and convenient to change a node.We use the MATLAB to simulate the leakage faults of high-voltage power distribution system, then analyze the electrical characteristics of the power distribution system when the single-phase ground fault happened, and determine the fault diagnosis and selection method based on the characteristics of zero-sequence voltage and current;Present a kind of new node locating algorithm in wireless sensor network, that is hop weighted centroid locating algorithm(HWC), which is very suitable for leakage protective system; At last we use ATmega128L as processor and CC2420 as wireless communication module, combine with wireless communication protocol and the leakage fault characteristics to design the leakage protective system based on ZigBee technology, the test results show that the leakage protective system has good performance, and can meet the requirements of leakage protection.
