With the continuous progress of science and technology, the development of the logistics industry has become more intelligent and scientific. Especially information collection become more diversified and visualized in cold chain logistics. Modern society has increasing requirement for logistics industry. Traditional cold chain logistics has failed to meet people's cold chain requirement.Cold chain logistics is for seafood, fruits, vegetables, other perishable food or medical drugs, blood products in low temperature environment of logistic system engineering at the production, storage, transport, process, sale and after-sale link. The temperature of cold chain logistics transport changes frequently, and become vulnerable to outside interference. It is quite necessary to monitor the temperature to prevent food from corruption. Meanwhile, monitoring vehicle location can help logistics enterprises obtain vehicle line and real-time location, which improves the ability of logistics dispatch. To solve real-time monitoring of temperature and vehicle location issue, the cold chain logistics transport monitoring system based on ZigBee and GPS is designed in this paper. The system is composed of ZigBee network, gateway and monitoring center.The ZigBee network is composed of a ZigBee coordinator and some end-devices. The end-devices are placed distributed within the cold chain vehicle, collecting temperature and location data by DS18B20 temperature sensor and GPS module. The coordinator allocates network address to end device since the beginning of the network. The temperature and location data is collected by the end device with a variety of sensors, and transmitted to the gateway through the ZigBee network.Gateway is composed of CC2530 ZigBee coordinator and GPRS SIM900 A module. The CC2530 coordinator receives the data sent by the end devices. Then it parses and packets the data transmitted to the GPRS module by Serial ports later. GPRS module sends data to the specified server IP address based on UDP protocol.Monitoring center is composed of the server, host computer and database. The data is parsed and stored in the SQL server 2008 database by SOCKET. Then, monitoring system based on VS2010 platform enables the temperature and vehicle location data display. Moreover, the system calls the Baidu map API to display the location on the map.Cold chain logistics transport monitoring system based on ZigBee and GPS realizes the temperature and location data real-time monitoring. Experiments show that: the system works properly, and achieves the desired target.
