Demo System Of Dispatching Commands And Tracing Locomotive Location Based On GSM-R/GPRS

It is the successful application of GSM-R on railway communication and practice of GPRS based on GSM-R beyond Europe that accelerate the informationization process of China railway. With the construction of the integrated digital mobile communication network, which provides the communication platform for modernizing dispatcher, command and control, China railway will realize mobile collection and transmission of all kinds of railway information. Developing application based on GPRS, providing the test platform for manufacturers and offering the training for railroaders are the keystones of GSM-R Lab.TAX simulator and CTC simulator are designed and realized in this paper. The demo system of sending dispatching commands and tracing train location based on GPRS was built in virtue of GSM-R network and GPRS Interface Server (GRIS). The demo system can transmit dispatching commands and wireless train number, display the train location in time through picking-up the geography location info in wireless train number.The structure of the demo system, the software structure of system modules, the interface and protocol among the system modules and the user interface design are depicted in this paper in detail. The demo system assists well in the function test of Cab Integrated Radio communication equipment as well as validates the function of itself. The demo system also has good effects in training railway employees.
