Research On Urban Governance Development And Space Restructure Of Yiwu City

China is in a period of deepening reform, along with the macro socio-economic background's transformation and urbanization course's unceasing acceleration, urban development's internal mechanism and spatial characteristic are increasingly complex. The paper has introduced the western urban governance theoretical framework and research foundation. Under the background of macro-structural transformation, the paper concerns the current development of Chinese urban governance main bodies (local governments, enterprises, society) in the traditional system foundation, and the structural changes of the relationships between governments, enterprises and society, or between the inside of governments. Then the paper has summed up the general mechanism through which the urban governance main bodies influence the space, and the spatial effectiveness of the different urban governance alliances.The focus of the paper is a typical and pioneering urban case– Yiwu. It has analyzed the historical process of the urban governance main bodies'evolution, and discussed which interaction mechanism between each urban governance main body to produce what kind of influential urban governance strategy. All these have formed a growth promoting urban development strategy, and created a deeply local rooted urban governance model. These different urban governance strategies have great effects on Yiwu city's administration space, market space and social space's restructuring. The paper has gotten some experiences from the local research, forecast future trends of the urban governance development and the corresponding spatial characteristics, and concluded that the development of urban governance has an important effect on the allocation of urban space resources. So the quite thorough research and the understanding of the local urban governance are needed in the urban planning and management, which require further improved public participation mechanism.
