Glass fiber reinforced plastics have long use life and running credibility used in wet FGD system by reasonable material choice, design, manufacturing and installing. It was widely used, its analysis of technology and economy is feasible. But FRP are anisotropic materials, its excellent performance is due to reasonable design, correct material choosing and strict controlling of produce process. So the research on FRP flue used in wet FGD system in electricity plants have important engineering significance, especially the research on its material choosing, product design, manufacturing process, experiment methods, test methods and installing, and so on.In the view of the problems of the key materaials home production,design and manufacturing of FRP flue conduit of cooling tower in the great power engine set, the performance of 15 type vinyl resins supplied by 7 resin producer is studied in this report, the foundation dates is tested and collected. The FRP smoke canal of 300MW engine set in electricity generating station of SANHE is designed and manufactued on the base of the foundation dates. The main conclusions:The properties of resins \resin castings\FRP of 15type of vinyl resins are measured. The temperature keeping time in the high temperature testing is determined by testing; The testing temperature points is 80°C,100°C and 120°C accoding to the testing of Tg.In the temperature far from the Tg, the strength retain rate have little difference between the high temperature resin and the low temperature resin. In the temperature near the Tg, the difference between the high temperature resin and the low temperature resin become more bigger. In the high temperature extending testing, some of the samples were skiped on the holding end. The reasons are mostly the three: The holding force is not enough; Problems in shapes of the tongs; the shearing performance of unilateralism FRP dropped rapidly in high temperature.In the high temperature testing, the intension reservation of extending is higher than it of bending and compression.Use the datum to design and calculate the FRP flue conduit of lectricity generating station of SANHE. In the strength analysis of 3# tower FRP flue conduit in electricity generating station of SANHE, assurance coefficient of axial stress is 13.3; assurance coefficient of hoop stress is 17.7, which is bigger than the required assurance coefficient; in the stability analysis, assurance coefficient is 39.5, which is bigger than required value 5.0. The results showed the design of smoke canal meet the requirement of strength and stability.In the processes of 3# tower flue conduit, all items meet the design requirement and the technology agrees. The FRP flue conduit was used up to snuff at present. So the work of this disquisition has important signification in project application.
