Driving simulator is the simulation equipment that can give a correct action response and feeling as well as driving the real vehicle. Currently driving simulator has become a highly efficient tool to developing vehicle product and studying transportation systems research as well as training drivers. Therefore driving simulator research and development are paid more attention. Vehicle dynamics model is an important part of driving simulator. So the establishment of suitable vehicle dynamic model applying to the driving simulator is very important. Combining the needs of project, the driving simulator is used in circuit simulation of the transport system, so in terms of Object-Oriented theory and taking the function specialties of vehicle subsystems into account, the model of relative subsystem object is built to meet the requirements of real-time vehicle dynamics simulation. There are three parts in this dissertation.First, the basic object-oriented concepts and some important characteristics were introduced. According to the needs of developing vehicle dynamics system software, the object-oriented method was used, and in that way the advantages of object-oriented modeling method was made full use. And then divided the whole vehicle for seven subsystems such as: body, suspension, wheel, engine, transmission, steering system and braking system, etc.Secondly, combining the objects of study by object-oriented theory, the models of respective subsystems were abstracted in need, and based on this, the suitable mathematical model of the subsystems were established. Finally there was a whole vehicle model of 11 degrees of freedom. In order to make driving simulation closer to the real running situation, the magic formula tire model was applied. The coefficients in the formula represent some of the typifying quantities of the tire and the formula is capable of describing all characteristics of side force, brake force and self aligning torque with great accuracy.Finally, Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 was used to developing vehicle dynamics system simulation program, and the composition and the process of program simulation were described. After compared with experiments there was a good accurate, so it can be applied in driving simulator and used in the research of road transport safety simulation.
