With the development of produce technology, traditional design method of hydraulic engineering is changed. New design method is been searched to improve produce efficiency,shorten designing period,decrease workload and advance automatization in design. It added vitality for design of hydraulic engineering by adapting CAD developing technology.Adopting CAD's object developing technology, the author develops the sluice chamber CAD system for willful amout of sluice-hole and the whole type of flat sluice soleplate and sluice pier for flat sluice gate in medium or mini-sized sluice on the AutoCAD2007 for windows & Microsoft WindowsXP supporting platform by taking Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005 and ObjectARX for AutoCAD2007 as developing tool. The system not only can obviously shorten designing period but also improve efficiency, and the system can make some drawings which can be used for project.In this paper, at first the author analyses the background and the development of AutoCAD technology. And then introduces and contrasts several methods of AutoCAD's second development, and points out the feasibility and inevitability of using ObjectARX in developing the sluice chamber. And then expounding the character,function and the class library of ObjectARX2007. The design theory of the sluice chamber is analyzed in this paper. And brings forward the basic idea of using ObjectARX2007 in the AutoCAD's second development, points out the research contents,the implement project and several important modules of this system, and the resolvent of some important problems are introduced. At last, the paper offers the help of installing and using, and the work of this paper is summarized, the direction of the research is pointed out.
