With the amount of automobile increasing, the traffic accident has become a serious problem in the world. The latest statistic data of traffic accident indicated that through the traffic accidents caused by rollover are less than front impact,side impact, the death rate and harmful rate caused by rollover are higher. The roof and lateral of the vehicle are relative weak parts, the energy absorbing ability is poor in the process of rollover, and the roof is apt to make large deformation, the passengers are facing high risk of damage. Therefore, study on vehicle dynamic rollover is very important to improve the passive safety of cars in our country.With the use of computer simulation, Firstly, this article demarcates the universal used male deformable dummy HybridIII-50th in worldwide vehicle rollover experiments to make it possesses excellent biology imitating characters. Secondly, establishing the occupant restraint system model and carried out dynamic simulation to verify the validity of restraint system. Based on this, established the full finite element modle of a domestic car (including the restraint system) and the dolly according to the code. The rollover simulation is carried out subsequently, and evaluations are made on the motion trace of car and passengers,roof deformation,human injury and efficiency of restraint system; Based on the results of simulation, putting forward a 3H vehicle body improved scheme and simulation is made, comparations are made on roof deformation and human injury between the simulation results before and after improvement.The study results indicate that:①the dynamic rollover trace of the car fits well to experiments data, which validates the reliability of computer simulation;②the roof come forth large deformation in the process of striking the floor, which seriously influence the living room of the left-front passenger;③human head accerlation,neck flexion and extension moment,chest compression quantity,knee impact force are all meet the requirements of the code, except for the neck compression force, and the passenger restraint system acts well;④the excessive neck compression force is due to the vehicle body structure design, it is necessary to carry out impact-bearing design on vehicle body;⑤after the 3H vehicle body improvement,the deformation of roof decreases largely,as well as the neck compression force which meets the requirement of code, other human injury criterion are also decrease in certain extent. The key technics involved in modle establish,simulation analysise and results data processing, which settle base for futher analysis on vehicle dynamic rollover; the human motion trace in the car give advices for the design of different safeguards at different time during the rollover; the motion trace of vehicle trace provide references for futher impact-prevening and impact-bearing design; impact-bearing design concept and scheme can also give some advices to vehicle passive safety researcher and vehicle enterprises. Therefore, research carried out in this paper possesses significant practical sense.
