At present,the restraint system is basically developed based on the HybirdIII 50 th percentile male dummy,but does not take others of different statures into account.It can not guarantee better protective effect for others as well.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the protective effect of the restraint system on occupants of different statures.This paper is based on a SUV model of a certain own branch.First of all,it builds the restraint system model of the 50 th percentile male dummy on the occupant side,and verifies it through the experimental data.Then this paper studies the protective effect of the 5th percentile dummy and the 95 th percentile dummy by this set of restraint system,and optimizes it next in order to implement the restraint system which has the protective effect to the occupants of different statures.The specific contents of this paper are listed as follows: first,it uses the finite element method to build the model of collision restraint system,which mainly includes the passenger compartment,seats,airbags,safety belts,etc.,and compares the model of collision restraint system with the experiment to verify the reliability of the model.Then based on the validated model,it adjusts the seats according to the relevant laws and places the 5th percentile dummy and the 95 th percentile dummy separately to do the simulation calculation.Next,it compares simulation animation and damage curves of the former two with the simulation animation and damage curves of the 50 th percentile dummy to see the protection situation of different dummies by the restraint system and optimizes it.At last,it adjusts the seats in accordance with the actual situation.Then it places the 50 th percentile dummy and the 95 th percentile dummy separately to calculate,compares the simulation animation and damage curves of the same dummy in different seat positions,and optimizes it.The study of this paper shows: first,the protective effect of the 5th percentile dummy and the 95 th percentile dummy is not as good as the protective effect of the 50 th percentile dummy by the restraint system.Second,the injury of the 5th percentile female dummy is mainly concentrated in the upper body,and the injury of the 95 th percentile male dummy is mainly concentrated in the lower body.Third,it is not ideal to protect three types of dummies by the traditional set of restraint system parameters.Therefore,intelligent restraint system is needed.By optimizing the restraint system,the female dummy's head HIC,chest 3ms and chest compression are reduced by 25.8%,7.4% and 8.3% respectively,when the seat is in the foremost position.When the seat was in the middle position,head HIC and chest 3ms of the 5th percentile are reduced by 26.7% and 12.6% respectively,but chest compression is increased by 6.8%.When the seat is in the last position,the 95 th percentile person's left thigh force and the right thigh force are reduced by 10.6% and 22.4% respectively.When the seat is in the middle position,the 95 th percentile person's left thigh force is reduced by 6.5%,but the right thigh force is increased by 3.2%.
