With the improvement of the industrial requirements,measuring color quantificationally and accurately is in demand,so colorimeter has an important effect on industrial production.It's possible to upgrade and rebuild colorimeter because of the development of color theory,optoelectronics and embedded technology.In recent years the project of SOPC(system on programmable chip)provided by Altera corporation is a fire-new ider for the design and implement of colorimeter.In this paper the design of the colorimeter make use of the theory of colorimetry,photoelectric integrating method,wireless radio frequency technology and embedded system that Niosâ…¡is embedded in FPGA.The colorimeter is a stability,miniaturizated and integrated system with higher stability,easier hardware upgrade and shorter design cycle.At the same time the function of data storage and data manage have been remarkably increased by means of wireless radio frequency technology.The paper firstly introduces the edvelopment status of colorimetry,SOPC technology and colorimeter.Secondly,the relevant theory of colorimetry and the application technique of FPGA and Niosâ…¡have been particularly expatiated.Thirdly,the structure of the colorimeter is introduced in the latter four chapters.The circuit design is explained in the first chapter which is composed of FPGA embedded system of colorimeter and microcontroller system for PC.In this chapter the project choice and circuit design of the two systems are described particularly.The customization of the system on chip is in the second chapter.There are the process of customization and the detailed design of logic block outside of the Niosâ…¡in the chapter.The software of the colorimeter is described in the third chapter which is made up of two parts. One part is Niosâ…¡software which is constituted of five embranchments that is described in detail by flow charts and codes of key functions.The other part is software of microcontroller system which is constituted of data receiveing and data transmiting that is introduced at length by means of flow charts and codes of key functions.The application software -color quality mamage on PC is introduced in the fourth chapter.The problem appeared in debugging and settlement is explained in the last chapter and the experience in recearch is introduced in the chapter.
